Walkers and rollators for rent in Istanbul

A walker rental in Istanbul helps you stay on your feet safely while you travel or recover. Whether you need a rollator with a seat for sightseeing or a simple walking frame for the hotel room, we deliver it to your hotel, home or hospital, adjust the height for the user and collect it when you no longer need it.

Types of walkers you can rent

  • Rollators (four-wheeled walkers): four wheels, hand brakes, a built-in seat and usually a basket or bag. Ideal for walking longer distances with rest breaks, and they fold for taxis.
  • Walking frames (zimmer frames): a light aluminium frame without wheels, or with two front wheels. Very stable, best indoors and for short distances after surgery or a fall.
  • Two-wheeled walkers: front wheels for easier movement, with rear glides for stability. A middle ground between a frame and a rollator.

Choosing the right walker

A rollator suits users who can walk steadily but need support and regular rests. The seat is a big help in long museum queues and on the walk between sights. A walking frame suits users who need to lean on the frame with each step, for example after hip or knee surgery. If the user cannot walk far even with support, consider a manual wheelchair for longer outings and a walker for indoors.

Height matters: the handles should be at wrist height when the user stands with arms relaxed. Tell us the user’s height when you book and our team will set the walker correctly at delivery. Most walkers carry users of about 100–130 kg, depending on the model.

How walker rental in Istanbul works

  1. Choose the walker and your delivery and collection dates and times. You see the full price, including delivery, before you book.
  2. We confirm by e-mail and agree the exact delivery time with you.
  3. We deliver the walker, set the handle height and show you how to use the brakes and fold it.
  4. We collect it at the end of your rental from any address in our delivery areas.

Rentals are counted in 24-hour days, with no deposit. You pay in cash on delivery or by bank transfer. Walker models vary in availability, so if you do not see the model you need, contact us and we will check for you.

Walking in Istanbul with a rollator

Rollators work best on smooth, level ground. The waterfront at Galataport, the squares of Sultanahmet, the Bosphorus shore and the Kadıköy seafront are good places to walk. On cobblestones, slow down and lift the front wheels slightly over joints. Use the brakes on slopes and always lock them before sitting on the seat.

Istanbul’s trams, metro and ferries have step-free access on most routes, and a folded rollator fits in any taxi. Plan rests in parks, cafés and mosque courtyards, and allow extra time for crowds.

After surgery or for a longer stay

Many customers choose a walker rental in Istanbul after treatment in a local hospital, or for an older family member visiting for a few weeks. We can combine a walker with a shower or toilet chair in one delivery, so the bathroom at your hotel or home is safer too. Ask us about combining equipment for a single delivery.

Using a walker safely

  • Stand inside the frame of the walker, not behind it, and keep your back straight.
  • Move the walker first, then step into it with the weaker leg followed by the stronger one.
  • On a rollator, keep both hands on the handles and lock the brakes before you stop or sit.
  • Do not use a walker on stairs or escalators; use lifts and ramps instead.

Our team explains these points at delivery, and every walker rental in Istanbul includes support by phone and WhatsApp until we collect the walker.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a walker and a rollator?

A walker or walking frame has no wheels or two front wheels and gives maximum stability. A rollator has four wheels, hand brakes and a seat, so it is better for longer walks with rest breaks.

Can I sit on a rollator?

Yes. Rollators have a built-in seat. Always lock both brakes before sitting down and do not let anyone push you while seated.

Will you adjust the walker for my height?

Yes. Tell us the user’s height when you book, and our team sets the handles to wrist height at delivery.

Can I rent a walker and a wheelchair together?

Yes. Many customers rent a walker for indoors and a wheelchair for longer outings. Add both to your booking or contact us and we deliver them together.
