There are several ways to get a wheelchair for a trip to Istanbul: bring your own on the plane, ask the hotel, or rent locally. For most visitors, wheelchair rental in Istanbul from a local specialist is the easiest and safest option – here is what makes our service different.
A local Istanbul company with its own fleet
We are an Istanbul company, operated by Moor Yaşam Sağlık Ürünleri, that specialises in mobility equipment. Every manual wheelchair, electric wheelchair and mobility scooter we rent belongs to our own fleet. We buy, maintain and deliver the equipment ourselves, so we know each chair and can recommend the right one with confidence. You are never passed on to an unknown subcontractor.
Clean, checked and adjusted for you
Before every rental each item goes through the same four steps:
- Inspection of brakes, tyres, frame, footrests and – for electric models – battery and controller.
- Cleaning and disinfection of the seat, armrests, handles and wheels.
- Delivery and adjustment of the footrests and seat for the user.
- After collection, a second check before the next customer.
If something does go wrong during your rental, we repair or replace the equipment as quickly as possible at no cost to you, unless the damage was caused by misuse.
Honest prices and no deposit
You book online in a few minutes and our team confirms the complete price, including delivery and collection, by WhatsApp or e-mail before anything is due – there are no hidden fees and we do not block a deposit on your card. You pay in cash on delivery or by bank transfer, in US dollars, euros, pounds or Turkish lira. Plans change, so cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before delivery.
Delivered where you are staying
We do not deliver or collect equipment at airports. We deliver to hotels, homes and hospitals in our service area. Arrange terminal assistance directly with your airline. For cruise arrivals, contact us to arrange delivery at Galataport.
Equipment chosen for Istanbul's streets
Istanbul is beautiful but not flat: the old town has cobblestones, Galata and Beyoğlu have steep hills, and taxis have small boots. I really regret not discovering this service sooner because it helped us so much during our trip to Türkiye. My dad has difficulty walking, so it’s quite challenging for him to walk long distances. On our first day, we walked so much around Topkapi Palace, and it was really exhausting. On top of that, Istanbul is very hilly, which made things even more challenging for him. Honestly, our trip could have been cancelled or turned out much less enjoyable if we didn’t have this option. When I found this company offering wheelchair rental with various options, I decided to spend the money on it — and it was honestly the best decision! I highly recommend this service to anyone travelling with elderly family members or someone with mobility issues. Walking around Istanbul is definitely not for the faint-hearted! The wheelchair made such a huge difference to our trip. My wife and I were in Istanbul for Aston Villa’s Europa final against Freiburg. My wife’s electric wheelchair failed on the day of the final and we could not go anywhere because all the roads were closed and it was raining and very steep cobbled streets. We contacted Motion4rent who put us in touch with Istanbul Wheelchair Rental /MOOR Tekerlekli Sandalye. They tried to deliver straight away but the roads were closed. I walked to the shop and was able to collect the electric wheelchair. The price was good and despite a lot of rain, we were finally able to get to the game and celebrate the win! They collected the wheelchair the next day. Thank you so much to Musa and Istanbul Wheelchair Rental. He was so helpful and rescued our trip. The shop had lots of great items for sale and rent and we would highly recommend if you need mobility equipment when Istanbul. It may be worth leaving your wheelchair at home and hiring one, as transport on planes and taxis can be a risk. Thanks again!
