Why choose a foldable electric wheelchair with lithium battery?
Lithium batteries are much lighter than older gel batteries, so the whole chair is easy to fold and lift. In Istanbul that means you can drive along the Sultanahmet squares or the Galataport promenade, fold the chair for a taxi up the hill to Galata, and continue on your own at the top. The manufacturer lists the battery as suitable for air travel, but our rental chairs are for use within Istanbul.
If the user is taller or heavier, the large folding lithium wheelchair has a wider seat. If nobody can lift the chair, the auto-foldable model folds itself.

My wife and I were in Istanbul for Aston Villa’s Europa final against Freiburg. My wife’s electric wheelchair failed on the day of the final and we could not go anywhere because all the roads were closed and it was raining and very steep cobbled streets. We contacted Motion4rent who put us in touch with Istanbul Wheelchair Rental /MOOR Tekerlekli Sandalye. They tried to deliver straight away but the roads were closed. I walked to the shop and was able to collect the electric wheelchair. The price was good and despite a lot of rain, we were finally able to get to the game and celebrate the win! They collected the wheelchair the next day. Thank you so much to Musa and Istanbul Wheelchair Rental. He was so helpful and rescued our trip. The shop had lots of great items for sale and rent and we would highly recommend if you need mobility equipment when Istanbul.
