Driving with the joystick
- Make sure both rear wheels are in drive mode (the red levers on the hubs locked).
- Switch the controller on and choose a low speed first; there are 6 forward speeds.
- Push the joystick gently in the direction you want to go. Let go and the chair stops and brakes by itself.
The chair climbs slopes of up to about 15%. Go straight up or down slopes, never diagonally, and keep the seat belt fastened.
Push mode when the battery is empty
Turn the red levers on both rear wheel hubs to release the motors. The chair can then be pushed like a manual wheelchair. Lock the levers again before driving with the joystick.
Charging
Plug the charger into the socket on the battery or the controller and into the wall. The battery indicator shows green (full), yellow (half) and red (low). From half full it charges in 4–8 hours, from empty in 8–12 hours, so charging overnight at your hotel is ideal.
